Finding your fitness.
If you asked me this 10 years ago, I would have laughed, anyone who knew me understood that working out wasn’t my jam. And I wouldn’t have believed you if you said it would help my career. When you are in your 20’s it is so much easier to get away with not having a consistent work-out schedule. My focus was on being skinny. I had zero concept that working out would do anything else for your health. At 30, this sounds completely insane. However, it is common for many women. There is this picture-perfect image we see on tv and shows us what we are supposed to look like.
Yikes- That is scary!
Creating a healthy body should be your only focus and only goal. Every "body" is going to look different, even when you are completely fit. Empower the women in your life to get fit and become a healthier version of their already beautiful self. When you become a fitter version of you, you will start feeling better physically and mentally. It will help you grow your business, tenfold.
My journey to fitness has been a long one and I wish I would have figured it out sooner. Creating a healthier version of yourself can change the way you look at the current situation and your long-term health.
You are a busy woman, juggling all the things the world has to offer. Prioritizing your fitness needs to be included in your weekly agenda. When I began adding workouts to my calendar, things started to change.
In the beginning, I fought it hard.
I didn’t have time to work out between my 9-5 and my side businesses. Eventually, I caved and started adding regular workouts to my routine. A few weeks went by and I noticed I had more energy. More energy to get those tasks done faster, and I noticed that I was less stressed than before. Prior to adding weekly workouts to my day, I felt significant stress and I was spending more time working. What I noticed is that I physically felt better and that allowed me to have more headspace to prioritize the tasks at hand. I was sold and excited to share with others what I noticed.
My mental health was in check and my physical body was beginning to take form. Trying to stay in my own lane and focus on my personal fitness goals was really hard.
Can you relate?
As I changed my work out habits, my eating changed with it and for the better. Whole food nutrition is my kryptonite. While I have no intention to become a fitness model, my physical appearance gave me confidence. Confidence in how I looked and I applied that newfound confidence to my life and business.
Forming my fitness took time and effort. It took sweat, tears, and a ton of will power. When you are working full time and building a business you love it is hard to make time for a little self-care. As I continue down this journey having the will power to grow into a better version of myself is hard. Here is the deal, self-love outranks the choices you make to impress others. Find your fitness mentally and physically. It will give you the stamina needed to build your empire.
What is one thing that you can do today to improve your fitness? It will affect the health of your business.
Peace, love, yoga and red wine,
